Decal kitchen: Yes or No?

Hey posh people!

 

I think this kitchen is everyone's dream. Love the brick wall (of course) and love the sepia pictures on the wall, they look really great since the main colors are white and brown.
Love the decals saying "Chocolate" and "Latte", I think it's a great way to modify the white furniture.
The chalkboard is really my favorite part, I always like chalkboard in kitchens, it's very useful :)

Acho que esta cozinha é o sonho de toda a gente. Adoro a parede de tijolo (claro!) e adoro as fotos a sépia na parede, acho que ficam muito bem visto que as cores principais são o branco e o castanho,

Amo os stickers colantes que dizem "Chocolate" e "Latte", penso que é uma óptima maneira de "quebrar" o branco da mobília. O quadro de giz é a minha parte favorita, sempre gostei de ver quadros de giz nas cozinhas, acho muito útil :)

Homemade shampoo

Hello beautiful!

 

Well I'm all about homemade stuff when  it's effective and cheap, I don't know how anything can be better than this.

I started to think about things I could replace for homemade stuff and I immediately thought about shampoo and conditioner. And I found the weirdest, yet original term of all time: "no poo". Sounds bad I know, but this is a term using from people that doesn't shampoo their hair, they only use homemade and natural shampoo. 

I found a recipe on "Living on a Dime" and I think I'll try this. It's good for all types of hair because it balances the pH of your head. You may experience a "detox" reaction from your hair, it can be very oily or dry on the first week or so, and sometimes you don't even have any detox experience. From then on, it's only benefits for you and your hair, since you're not using chemicals, it's made from the cheapest products ever and your hair will look super healthy and beautiful!

The only bad thing? You need to find new (or used, if you keep them) bottles for your new shampoo! Check http://www.livingonadime.com for how to use your now useless shampoo.

 

HOMEMADE SHAMPOO:

*Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 250 ml of hot water and stir or shake until it's well dissolved. You can use a funnel and put this in a container like a squirt bottle.

 

HOMEMADE CONDITIONER:

*Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 250 ml of water. Again mix and store in a squirt bottle.

 

You can make more if you just use the same proportions.

 

I still have two weeks before starting college, so maybe I can try this. I'm a little scared, but I hope everything turns out fine. I'll keep you updated if I really go forward with this!

Bem, eu sou toda a favor de coisas feitas em casa quando são eficazes e baratas, acho que não há melhor que isto.
Comecei a pensar em coisas cá em casa que podiam ser substituídas por algo caseiro e o primeiro pensamento que me veio à mente foi champô e condicionador. E descobri o termo mais estranho mas original de sempre: "no poo". Soa muito mal eu sei, mas esté é um termo usado por pessoas que só usam champô feito por elas. Encontrei esta receita no "Living on a Dime" e acho que vou experimentar. É bom para todos os tipos de cabelo pois equilibra o pH do couro cabeludo. Podem ter alguma reacção de "desintoxicação", pode ficar muito oleoso ou seco na primeira semana ou assim, mas às vezes nêm experienciam qualquer tipo de reacção. Daí para a frente, são só benefícios para vocês e o vosso cabelo, visto que não usam químicos, é feito de produtos super baratos e o vosso cabelo ficará super saudável e bonito!
A única coisa má? Têm de arranjar garrafas novas (ou usadas, se tiverem) para o vosso novo champô! Vejam o site http://www.livingonadime.com para verem como podem usar o vosso agora champô inútil.

CHAMPÔ CASEIRO:
*Misturar 1 colher de sopa de bicarbonato de sódio com 250 ml de água quente e mexam ou abanam até estar dissolvido. Podem usar um funil para uma garrafa.

CONDICIONADOR CASEIRO:
*Misturar 1 colher de sopa de vinagre de cidra com 250 ml de água. Misturar e guardar numa garrafa.

Podem usar as mesmas proporções para fazerem mais quantidade.

Ainda tenho 2 semanas antes de começar a faculdade, por isso talvez experimente. Estou um bocado assustada, mas espero que corra tudo bem. Manter-vos-ei ocupados se realmente for decidir fazer isto!

Cure for hiccups (the only trick that works for me!)

Hey guys!

 

Yesterday I had hiccups two times. I don't know how long the first episode lasted, but I know it began at lunch time and only stopped in the afternoon. The second time was before midnight I think, and it only stopped at 2 o'clock in the morning because I drank water upside down, like in the picture.
This is a very good cure for hiccups. If I try to drink lots of water, hold my breath or being scared, it doesn't work.

 

So if you can't stop your hiccups just drink water upside down, it's a little tricky at first but it's totally worth it!

Olá meninos!

 

Ontem tive soluços duas vezes. Não sei precisamente dizer quanto tempo duraram os dois episódios, mas o primeiro durou desde a hora de almoço até à tardinha e o segundo começou antes da meia noite até depois das 2 da manhã. E só passou porque bebi água ao contrario, como está na foto.

Esta é uma boa cura para os soluços. Não resulta mais nada comigo, nem se eu beber muita água, suster a respiração ou se me assustarem.

 

Por isso se não conseguem parar os soluços só precisam de beber água ao contrário, é um bocado complicado ao princípio mas vale semre a pena!

Peneda Gerês National Park: MAGICAL!

Hey fellow explorers!

As you can see, this park is really magic (I'm sure fairies and pixies live here!) and special, just look at the pictures. Each one of these photos took my breath away when I saw them for the first time. Only to visit Peneda Gerês, I bet a week to explore it is not enough. This is the perfect place for adventure people, you really have to love hiking to go there. When I go there (I don't know when, but I will) I know I'll be mesmerize with all the nature and beauty sorrounding me.

This is truly one of my dream places.

Olá exploradores!

 

Como podem ver, este parque é mesmo mágico e especial (aposto que as fadas vivem aqui!), olhem só para as fotografias. Cada uma das fotos deixaram-me sem fôlego quando as vi pela primeira vez. So para visitar o Parque Nacional Peneda Gerês, aposto que uma semana não é suficiente. Este é o lugar perfeito para pessoas aventureiras e têm de gostar mesmo muito de caminhar, mas vale mesmo a pena o esforço que têm de fazer. Quando lá for (não sei quando, mas sei que irei lá) sei que vou ficar incrédula com toda a natureza e beleza que me rodeia.

Sophisticated Rocker Room: Yes or No?

 

 

Hey boys and girls!

 

I think this is a great bedroom. It looks like a boy's bedroom, but this could totally be my room, I loved it!

The black and white London wall is very me, and the colors of the room are very sober, yet beautiful.

I already told you that I love raw materials, so I think the brick wall looks really good. But the main focus goes to The Beatles wall, it's amazing!!!!

Any boy or rocker girl would love to have this room.

 

For me it's a yes room! What do you think?

Acho que este é um belo quarto. Parece um quarto adequado para um rapaz, mas este podia muito bem ser o meu quarto, adoro-o!

A parede preta e branca dedicada a Londres é a minha cara, e as cores do quarto são muito sóbrias mas bonitas também. Já vos tinha dito que adoro matérias não trabalhadas, pelo que acho que a parede de tijolo fica muito bem na divisão. Mas o ponto principal do quarto, aquele para onde se olha primeiro, é a parede dos The Beatles é o máximo!!!!

Qualquer rapaz ou rapariga mais alternativa gostaria de ter este quarto!

I'm really in love with this look, it's so chic and sober!! You can use this outfit with a pair of black tights (another must for me) to go out at night to some place fancy with your loved one or to go to a gallery event or something. But make sure to use bold makeup or else you won't look as good as you can ;) The red clutch gives the splash of color that the outfit need. You can use any color you want, but I think red looks always good, it's a classic!

Well, I love C&A, they have great pieces at really affordable prices!

They're mostly located in Europe, but they also have stores in Brazil, Mexico and China.

I wanted to show my latest items that bought in there (I have many other pieces so I just selected my latest purchases).

Story of my dress: I was wandering in the store when I saw something different in a rack of clothing. I went there and there it was! It was sale season, so this was the last one. When I saw that the dress was an XS I was really sad, because I thought it didn't fit me. Turns out I was wrong, it fits me like a glove. And the price? Before it was 9€, but I bought it with 50% discount so I only paid 4,50€!! Love my dress so much *

Story of my coat: I've been looking for a coat of this material for a while now. One day my sister bought a jacket and I simply fell in love with it! A few days later I went to the store, but I wasn't really hopeful, because I thought all the coat must be sold out by now. Well, I was wrong once again :) They have this coat in the children section, from age 7 to 14+ . I bought the size 11-12 years and it fits me really well. On Winter I will definitely post pictures of me pulling off my new coat ;) It only cost me 15€! A great deal, in my opinion *

Eles estão espalhados, na sua maior parte, na Europa, mas também têm lojas no Brasil, México e China.

Queria mostrar-vos as minhas últimas aquisições de lá (Eu tenho muita roupa de lá por isso só vos vou mostrar as mais recentes).

História do meu vestido: Estava a vaguear pela loja quando vi algo fora do sítio num expositor. Fui até lá para ver e ali estava ele! Estava na altura dos saldos, por isso só restava aquele. Quando vi que era um XS fiquei triste porque pensei que não me ia servir. Não podia estar mais errada, parece que foi feita para mim. E o preço? Antes estava a 9€

História do meu casaco: Tenho estado à procura de um casaco destes já ha algum tempo. Um dia a minha irmã comprou um casaco igual e eu fiquei apaixonadíssima por ele! Uns dias depois fui à loja, mas não estava muito esperançosa pois achava que já não havia o meu número. Mais uma vez, estava errada :) Este casaco está na secção de criança e tem desde os 7 aos 14+ anos. Eu comprei o tamanho 11-12 anos e fica-me muito bem. No Inverno vou pôr aqui fotos minhas a exibir o meu casaco ;) So me custou 15€! Um óptimo negócio, na minha opinião *

I've always been obsessed with kid's rooms. I'm always saying that I don't want children, but nowadays how can I say that with all the cool things I could give to a kid?

 

This is the perfect room for a little girl. I wish I had this room when I was little! It's pink, it has butterflies and the most awesome bed I've ever seen!
Seriously, the house-bed makes the room. And the little details like the white lamps, white puff and the plaid quilt make the room even more beautiful.

Eu sei que não costumo falar de Design, mas é uma coisa que adoro, por isso aqui vai!

 

Sempre fui obcecada por quartos de criança. Passo a vida a dizer que não quero filhos, mas como é que posso dizer isso quando hoje em dia há tanta coisa gira para dar a uma criança?

 

Este é o quarto perfeito para uma menina. Adorava ter tido este quarto em pequena!! É cor-de-rosa, tem borboletas e a cama mais espectacular que já vi!

A cama-casa faz o quarto, sem dúvida. E os detalhes como os candeeiros, o puff branco e a colcha fazem o quarto ainda mais bonito.

Another casual look. I couldn't put any accessories, but I think a big bracelet and a silver ring would be great with this outfit. I always try to put an easy-going and effortless look to go to the grocery store or something, but I always end up doing outfits to go lunch with friends or to go to the park with your kid (if you don't have a kid, with you little brother or cousin!)

Homemade Wax Recipe: Bye hairs!!

Hi ladies!

Well I recently came to know about a recipe for you to make your own wax.

If you are like me and you don't like to spend lots of money visting the beauty salon, this just might be the solution for you! Another plus is the privacy, because you don't need anyone else to look wherever you are waxing. I didn't try this already, but on Winter I'll definitely try!

HOMEMADE WAX RECIPE:

.2 cups of white sugar

.1/4 cup of lemon juice

.1/4 cup of warm water

1*Gather up all the ingredients and boil everything until it reaches about 120ºC (you might need to use a thermometer.). Make sure to stir so the sugar dissolve.

2*After that, pour it into a bowl. Let it cool until you feel that the temperature is good to apply.

3*You just need something to apply and some cotton strips to remove. Once you put the wax on the leg and apply the strip, let it cool for a few seconds and then rip it off in the opposite direction that you applied the wax. This will help you get a smooth and clean result. Good luck!

Attention: This wax is so awesome that you can remove it without any strips (Thanks Maria Poupadinha!)

I think this is very cool. I personally do not like to go to the beauty salon, I really appreciate my privacy.

Olá meninas!

Ora bem, há pouco tempo descobri que se podia fazer em casa cera depilatória.

Se são como eu e não gostam de gastar imenso dinheiro cada vez que vão à depiladora, então esta pode ser a solução ideal para vocês! Outro benefício é a privacidade, porque não vão ter ninguém a olhar para vocês. Ainda não experimentei, mas de certeza que no Inverno vou experimentar!

RECEITA PARA CERA:

.2 copos de açúcar branco

.1/4 copo de sumo de limão

.1/4 copo de água quente

1*Juntar todos os ingreditentes e fever tudo até atingir os 120ºC (podem utilizar um termómetro). Não se esquecem de mexer para o açúcar se dissolver.

2*Depois disso, deitar num recipiente próprio para calor. Deixar arrefecer até acharem que já está bom para aplicar.

3*Só precisam de algo para aplicar e de tiras de algodão para remover a cera. Uma vez posta a cera na perna e aplicada a tira, deixar arrefecer durante uns segundos e depois puxar na direcção oposta à da aplicação da cera. Isto irá resultar numa pele mais macia e limpa. Boa sorte!

Nota: Esta cera é tão boa que se pode retirar sem tiras (Obrigada Maria Poupadinha!)

Acho que isto é óptimo. Eu pessoalmente não gosto de ir à depiladora, é muito impessoal e eu gosto da minha privacidade.

Egg white and honey face mask: Goodbye oily skin!

Hi there magical creatures!

 

And now, the thing get personal: oily skin is a big problem of mine! But don't worry, this mask comes to rescue you! I tried it and it's amazing, now I normally do this once per week and it really works :)

 

EGG WHITE AND HONEY MASK:
.1 egg white
.1 tablespoon of honey

 

1*Whip the egg white until it's stiff. Add the honey and blend it well.
2*Apply in the skin. Let he mask rest for about 20-25 minutes. Remove it with tepid water.

Q: Why is this mask good for oily skin?
A: The egg white combined with the honey cleanses the oil of you skin and tightens the pores.

E agora, é pessoal: a pele oleosa é um grande problema que eu tenho! Mas para todos os que sofrem deste problemas como eu não receiem, esta máscara vai salvar-vos! Já experimentei e é espectacular, normalmente faço-a uma vez por semana e realmente resulta :)

 

MÁSCARA DE MEL E CLARA DE OVO:

.1 clara de ovo

.1 colher de sopa de mel

 

1*Bater as claras até estarem firmes. Adicionar o mel e envolver bem.

2*Aplicar na pele. Deixar a máscara actuar durante 20-25 minutos. Retirar com água morna.

 

P: Porque é que esta máscara é boa para pele oleosa?

R: A clara do ovo combinada com o mel limpa a pele e fecha os poros.

 

Experimentem o digam-me o que acharam!

Avocado facial mask: Watch out, dry skin, I'm going to get you!

 Hey beautiful!!

 

Now it's time to "attack" the dry skin that's always bothering you! It's really easy and you can't get any cheaper than this!

 

AVOCADO MASK:
. 1/2 avocado
.1 tablespoon of natural yogurt
.1 egg yolk

 

1*Mash the avocado. Add the yogurt and the egg yolk. Blend it well.
2*Apply in the skin. Let the mask rest for about 20-25 minutes. Remove it with tepid water.

 

Q: Why is this mask good for dry skin?
A: The avocado and the egg yolk both have natural oils, so it helps moisturizing the skin, enhancing the look and the health of it.

Banana and honey face mask: great for normal skin!!

Hi lovely people!!

 

Today I'm going to post 3 different recipes for making facial masks. While I was having lunch one of these days, my mother was talking about a facial mask I can do, because I was complaining how oily my skin is. This is all recipes my mom learned through the years, so I think they are good and effective. I trust my mother :)

 

BANANA AND HONEY MASK:
.1/4 of banana
.1 tablespoon of honey

 

1*Mash the banana and then add the honey. Blend it well.
2*Apply in the skin. Let the mask rest for about 20-25 minutes. Remove it with tepid water.

 

Q: Why is it good for normal skin?
A: It cleans and moisturize the skin. The honey regenerates the skin.

Hoje vou publicar 3 receitas diferentes de máscara faciais caseiras. Enquanto estava a almoçar um dia destes, a minha mãe começou a falar-me de uma máscara que podia fazer, porque passei o tempo todo a queixar-me de como a minha pele é oleosa.

Estas são todas mezinhas que a minha mãe aprendeu ao longo dos anos, pelo que penso que são bastante boas e eficazes. Eu confio na minha mãe :)

 

MÁSCARA DE BANANA E MEL:

.1/4 de banana

.1 colher de sopa de mel

 

1*Esmagar a banana e depois adicionar o mel. Misturar bem.

2*Aplicar na pele. Deixar a máscara durante 20-25 minutos. Retirar com água morna.

 

P: Porque é que esta máscara é boa para pele normal?

R: A máscara limpa e hidrata a pele. O mel regenera a pele.

I was so nervous this morning (because today I will know in which college I've been accepted) that I decided to do an outfit to get me distracted. It helped a lot!
